Distribution. Known species of the central Amazon Basin ( Brazil: Amazonas and Pará) and the upper Orinoco Basin ( Venezuela: Amazonas) ( Boucher 2006). The locality where was collected the material examined accord with the species distribution. This confirms a new record of Veturius for Colombia.
Material examined. COLOMBIA, GUAINIA, Inirida, Com. La Ceiba, 3°37'58.7''N 67°53'22.1''W, 103 m, 18.iii.1998, Bosque. G. Amat, A. Garbanzo, & C. Martínez (2 specimens).
