Distribution and habitat: — Brazil (Minas Gerais). Campo rupestre and cerrado; 650–1400 m.
Taxonomic Notes: —A species easily recognized by its lanceolate leaves, capitula connate 1/4 to 1/2 of length and one floret per capitulum.
