Like 16 but fruits ovoid-globose, obtusely 3- angled, the sterile loculi larger than (or rarely slightly smaller than) the fertile, separated by a groove; calyx usually scarcely toothed, the tooth over the fertile loculus usually obtuse. 2n = 16.
