Global distribution.

Western Caucasus ( Shokhin 2007), with a type location in Circassia ( Baraud 1992). Based on literature data, this species is endemic to the western part of the Caucasus, as it was never recorded for Armenia, Azerbaijan, or Turkey ( Iablokov-Khnzorian 1967; Nikolajev et al. 2016; Polat et al. 2018; Shokin 2019).

VU. This species is an endemic to western Great Caucasus ( Dzhambazishvili 1979). Georgian populations represent the southern margin for the species distribution, with relatively small AOO (70 km2) and EOO (3,121 km2) (Fig. 7B View Figure 7 ) in the country. Given the endemic status of the species with marginal populations in Georgia, its national conservation status should be defined as "Vulnerable".
