Comments.
Trigonalysmelanoleuca was one of the first trigonalid species to be described. It may be the most commonly collected species of the family in the Neotropics. In spite of that, its hosts are still unknown. The examined specimens exhibit substantial intraspecific variation, particularly the wing venation. This high variation, however, seems to be the rule for Trigonalidae as a whole ( Carmean and Kimsey 1998).
