Trapa minuta Opravil , based on fossil fruits from Pleistocene sediments of then Czechoslovakia (now Czech republic), is an illegitimate later homonym of the fossil species Trapa minuta Nikolaeva & Zakirova (1958: 219) , which has been established on the fossil fruits from the Pliocene sediments of Mel’ken in Menzelinsk district, Tatarstan republic, Russian Federation (European part).
