Distribution and habitat:— Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Peru ( Michelangeli, 2005). In Brazil it occurs in the biome Amazonian Forest (Michelangeli, 2015). In the reserve, it occurs in “igapós” on sandy soil.
Comments:— This specie is frequent in the reserve. It is kept a long part of the year under the water. It can be recognized by the brown and smooth rhytidome, stellate-stipitate tricomes all over the plant, and leaves with ant domatia.
