Diagnosis. The forewing length is 14.5–15.5 mm in males and 15.5–16.5 mm in females. Thysanoplisna bachma sp. nov. is superficially reminiscent of the allopatric Th. grandimacula sp. nov. and differs only in its smaller size. The male genitalia of the new species are most similar to Th. signata but can be easily distinguished by the longer and broader phallus, and the markedly longer and broader vesica having a longer and broader ventral medial diverticulum and lacking the dorsal subbasal diverticulum. Additionally, the distal diverticulum of Th. bachma sp. nov. is longer and broader than in the congener and bears a horn-shaped cornutus directed rather distally whereas in Th. signata it is more curved, thorn-shaped and directed nearly perpendicularly to the diverticulum axis. The female genitalia of Th. bachma sp. nov. differ clearly from Th. signata in the anteriorly broader ductus bursae, the markedly broader posterior gelatinous enlargement of the corpus bursae having a lateral sclerotised plate on the left side and a sack-like membranous diverticulum on the right side, and the broader and laterally curved appendix bursae. Compared to Th. grandimacula sp. nov., the new species has a broader ductus bursae and a posterior gelatinous enlargement of the corpus bursae with a lateral appendix, which is absent in the congener.

Distribution. Central Vietnam (Thừa Thiên Huế Province).

Etymology. The specific epithet is homonymic of the type locality. The name is a noun in the nominative singular in apposition.
