Protologue citation:—“ S. M. Bei der Bahnstation Sveti Djurj südlich von Veles. Ausserdem in der Herzegovina und in Bulgarien ”.
Taxonomic notes:—This name is a heterotypic synonym of Th. striatus Vahl (1794: 78) subsp. acicularis ( Waldstein & Kitaibel 1805: 157) Ronniger in Lacaita (1925: 110), the currently accepted taxon.
