Ind. Loc.: Occurrit haec species unica Canariensis in rupibus elatis montium septentrionalium Lancerottae circà templum Virginis de la Nieves et ad pagum Hariam ab 800 scilicet ad 1700 pdes altitudinis super oceanum.
Type (lectotype designated by León Arencibia & La Serna Ramos 1983: 21):—In montosis jugi montium septentrionalium Lancerotta ad templum de las Nieves prope Hariam, s.d., P.B. Webb 30 ( FI 000214!).
Nomenclatural notes:—Although the selected specimen by León Arencibia & Serna Ramos (1983) is partially damaged, the characters of the calyx and leaves are still visible and allow the correct identification of the taxon.
