Nomenclatural notes:—No original material of the name has been found in the studied herbaria, although the main collections and their duplicates by Cosson and De Noè are preserved in MPU and P. Therefore, in accordance with Article 9.8 of the ICN ( Turland et al. 2018) a neotype is designated here. The specimen chosen was identified by De Noé and was collected not far from one of the localities reported in the protologue. There are numerous duplicates of this specimens housed in the main European herbaria. The neotype here selected fits the original description and refers to a taxon endemic to Algeria.
