This species has been recorded in the Neotropics from Brazil, Colombia, Galapagos Islands, Mexico, Panama, the West Indies, and Venezuela, and elsewhere from India (Tehler 1997; Joseph et al. 2013; Joshi et al. 2013; Ertz et al. 2015).

Specimens examined. BOLIVIA. Dept. Santa Cruz: Prov. Guarayos, RN de Vida Silvestre Ríos Blanco y Negro, Virgen de Pilar near Chonta, 15°38’54”S, 62°57’37”W, 229 m, lowland Amazon forest, corticolous, 22 July 2009, AF 13234.1 & PR (BR, KRAM, LPB).
