Sturnidoecus incomptus Ansari, 1955
Sturnidoecus incomptus Ansari, 1955f: 72 , figs 18a–f.
Current status: Sturnidoecus incomptus Ansari, 1955f ; Gustafsson & Bush 2017: 240, 366, 396, 439 (see Reamrks).
Type host: Turdus grayi incomptus (Bangs) .
Type locality: Fonseca, D. Magdalena, Colombia [as Columbia] .
Type material: Holotype male and allotype female [slide 56724] deposited in the USNM, from the Carriker collection [slide 26389] and three paratypes (two males and one female) deposited in OSUS ( Gustafsson & Bush 2017: 439). Also, Gustafsson & Bush (2017: 439) listed two males and four females as paratypes deposited in the USNM, but these specimens are not paratypes because Ansari (1968: 73) designated only three paratypes.
Remarks: Emerson (1981: 138) regarded Sturnidoecus incomptus as a junior synonym of Sturnidoecus caligineus ( Carriker, 1903) . However, Gustafsson & Bush (2017) regarded them as two different species.
