Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species in a distinct genus Paraplanes View in CoL , it has not been recorded since. Its validity was never questioned, but it was cited only rarely, under either Paraplanes View in CoL or Tomotaenia. It is assigned here to Strigamia View in CoL for the first time (new combination), because it shares all major diagnostic features of this genus.
Distribution: south-eastern part of mainland Asia, from central China to Indochina, and Taiwan.
