Stomis sehnali Lassalle, 2007 View in CoL
Loc. typ.: western Sichuan, monts Jingping, west of Mo Fang Gou
This species has been described upon a single male specimen from south-western Sichuan: monts Jingping; I do not know if any further specimen has been collected since the original description. I have not been able to examine the type specimen, but judging from the original description and drawings ( Lassalle 2007: figs 2, 4) it is a valid species belonging to the S. deuvei -group and near S. romani .
Description. The combination of characters allowing to distinguish this species is: size 9 mm; integuments dark metallic bronze; body rather convex ( Lassalle 2007: fig. 2); legs and antennae dark brown, of medium length; head broad, with mandibles longer than the rest of the head; pronotum anteriorly broad, then markedly constricted and sinuate towards the base; elytra very broad, oval, widest almost in the middle, with striae well marked; humeral tooth well developed. Median lobe of aedeagus with apical portion hardly longer than basal portion; in lateral view evidently sinuate before apex, in dorsal view evidently constricted and with a small tooth on the left side ( Lassalle 2007: fig. 4). Ratios: El/Pl = 2.08; Ew/Pw = 1.30; El/Ew = 1.47.
Distribution. Southern Sichuan, Jingping mountains.
