COMMON NAME (S): Eggar, Snout moth (although this also refers to the Pyralidae ) or Lappet moth.
SYNONYM(S): Taragama strandi Aurivillius, 1927 .
IUCN STATUS: Not Evaluated (NE).
DISTRIBUTION: Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia.
LOCALITY IN ZAMBIA: Solwezi in Northwestern Province ; Ndola and Kitwe in Copperbelt Province.
LARVAL HOSTPLANT(S): Only Pinus patula Schiede ex Schltdl. & Cham. (Pinaceae) is reported as host plant for the taxon in Uganda. No host plants are known for the taxon in Zambia.
