Diagnosis. This species is close to S. octopunctata in dorsal color pattern, but can be distinguished from the latter by distribution of spots on elytra ( Figs 95, 98 View FIGURES 92 – 100. 92 – 94 ), short paramere, and very wide penis guide ( Figs 257–258, 262– 263 View FIGURES 255 – 264. 255 – 259 ).

Description. TL: 2.41–2.80 mm, TW: 2.18–2.47 mm, TH: 1.32–1.48 mm, TL/TW: 1.11–1.13; PL/PW: 0.40– 0.43; EL/EW: 0.92–0.95; HW/TW: 0.35; PW/TW: 0.64.

Head yellow. Pronotum and scutellum yellow. Elytra predominantly yellow, each elytron with 4 black rounded spots disposed as follows: spot 1 situated near humeral callus, connected with elytral base; spot 2 resting on 2/5 length of suture; spot 3 situated at centre of elytral disc; spot 4 on 4/5 length of suture ( Figs 98–100 View FIGURES 92 – 100. 92 – 94 ). Underside yellow. Legs yellow.

Body almost circular in outline, hemispherical, shiny and glabrous. Head frontal punctures fine and sparsely distributed, 2.5–3.5 diameters apart, with short setae, interocular distance of eyes 0.62x head width ( Fig. 100 View FIGURES 92 – 100. 92 – 94 ).

Pronotal punctures fine and densely distributed, 1.0–3.0 diameters apart, similar to those on head. Elytral punctures very fine and sparse, smaller than those on pronotum, 3.0–4.0 diameters apart. Elytral margins wide, visible from above.

Prosternal punctures inconspicuous, with scattered long setae. Mesoventral surface shiny, punctures inconspicuous, with scattered long setae. Metaventrite shiny, punctures fine and sparse, with short setae. Elytral epipleuron broad, complete to apex, feebly foveate to accommodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings welldeveloped.

Male genitalia: Penis short and stout, slightly curved at base, capsule broadening basally and with a small inner process ( Fig. 261 View FIGURES 255 – 264. 255 – 259 ); tegmen with penis guide in lateral view stout and straight, widest at base, gradually narrowing to apex, 2x length of parameres, apex pointed and curved ( Fig. 262 View FIGURES 255 – 264. 255 – 259 ); penis guide in ventral view very fat, apex teatform ( Fig. 263 View FIGURES 255 – 264. 255 – 259 ); parameres very short and triangular, with short setae apically.

Female genitalia: Ovipositor elongate and narrowly triangular, styli inconspicuous, each with several long terminal setae ( Fig. 264 View FIGURES 255 – 264. 255 – 259 ).
