Stelis (Stelis) acutiventris Linsley, 1939 View in CoL

[Holotype: CASC; ♀ Borrego, San Diego Co., California, USA; April 8, 1939] This species is known from Arizona and California, USA, and the BCP, Mexico. Ayala et al. (1996) reported it in BC and BCS, though until recently there were no publicly accessible records. We confirmed its presence in the BCP by reviewing specimens from BC at SDNHM and BBSL. Stelis activentris has been collected in the Chaparral in May 1985, and Central Desert in April 1985 ( GBIF 2023). See fig. 207.
