Median antepronotal lobes reduced; anal lobe of wing reduced; costal extension long in P. tokunagai , P. paraconjuncta , P. conjuncta , P. fusivenosa and P. bicinctura ; Cu 1 straight or slightly sinuous; postcubital fork absent; anal point fusiform; transverse sternapodeme without oral projections; superior volsella present, bulge-like except in P. capicola ; crista dorsalis evident. Female antenna with subapical seta; tergite IX of female undivided or, in P. conjuncta , divided without caudal notch; female gonocoxite sometimes with caudal projection; seminal capsules with striations in P. conjuncta , P. fusivenosa and P. paraconjuncta . Immatures known only of P. paraconjuncta . Pupa with a few spinules on thorax; tergal conjunctives II/III and VII/VIII, and sternal conjunctives III/IV, IV/V and VIII/IX all bare in male pupa. Larva with weak premandibular brush, anterior parapods with 5-8 longer claws, posterior parapods of larva with 3 claws.
