Type:—‘ PERU, Prov. Pallasca, Dept. Ancash, Cordillera de Pelagatos, 4450 m. alt., A. Weberbauer 7241 ’ (holotype: F 0076937F!).

Distribution and Habitat ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ): — Senecio leucophorbius occurs in mountains of Peru, at an elevation of 4500 m. This species has been rarely collected and only the type specimen was studied.
