Type:— TURKEY. B 7 Tunceli: Munzur dağ above Ovacik, 2800 m, rocky limestone slopes, 17 July 1957, Davis & Hedge, D. 31231 (holotype E, isotype B, M, K!).
Specimens seen:— TURKEY. Erzincan: Ergan Mountain , rocky, 2900 m, 23 July 2007, A. Kandemir 8010 ( GAZI) ; Ergan Mountain , calcareous stony and scree slopes, 2980 m, 20 July 2014, M. E. Uzunhisarcıklı 2623 ( GAZI) ; Keşiş Mountain, Aksu river , 2728 m, 19 April 2004, A. Kandemir 6856 ( GAZI) ; Tunceli: Ovacık, Munzur , ca. 2800 m, Davis & Hedge 31231 ( K) .
Flowering time: —April–July.
Habitat: —Calcareous stony and scree slopes, rocky. 2720‒2980 m elevation.
Distribution: —Endemic. Irano-Turanian element.
