Lectotype (designated here):— CHINA. Guanxi : Jiuwandashan, Gema, 800 m, 23 April 1979, C. D. Chu & Z. Wang 7906 ( NF barcode 17003891!, isolectotypes K barcode 000872678!, NF barcodes 17003892!, 17003893!, 17003894!).
Nomenclatural notes:—The gathering C. D. Chu & Z. Wang 7906 indicated by the authors as type, consists of 5 specimens kept in K and NF. The specimen with NF barcode 17003891 is better preserved than the other 4 specimens, hence is here designated as the lectotype.

Lectotype (designated here):— CHINA. Hubei: Lichuan, Xingdoushan , 1300 m, 30 May 1980, G. G. Tang & X. H. Song 459 ( NF barcode 12500890!, isolectotypes NF barcodes 12500889!, 12500891!, PE barcode 12500892!).
Nomenclatural notes:—The gathering G. G. Tang & X. H. Song 459 indicated by the authors as type, consists of 4 specimens kept in NF and PE. The specimen with NF barcode 17003891 is better preserved than the other 3 specimens, hence is here designated as the lectotype.
Taxonomic notes:—This species is currently accepted in the Flora of China ( Xu et al. 2008) as Acer lungshengense Fang & Hu (1966: 179) within Aceraceae Jussieu (1789: 250) , but this family is suggested to merge into Sapindaceae in APG IV (2016).
