Comments. Recently transferred from Carterica Pascoe, 1858 ( Monné & Monné, 2008) . Geographical distribution. Described from Colombia (Magdalena), Santa Marta. Distributed from Guatemala to Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil (Pará).

Specimens examined. Monné & Monné (2008) referred to specimens from El Salvador, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil (Pará).
