Positive for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, and urease and β -galactosidase activities in API 20NE, but negative for indole production and gelatinase and arginine dihydrolase activities. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, Dmannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, and malic acid are utilized. Does not utilize capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain ST6-05 (= NIBRBA0000114185) was isolated from Canadian horseweed root, Daejeon, Korea.
