Valid name: Acerodon macklotii (Temminck, 1837)

Syntype (identified by Andersen, 1912: 420): ZMB 2630 View Materials , skin, skull not extracted, male, adult; Timor Id., Indonesia; collected by Müller & Macklot; ex RMNH .

Comment: Jentink (1888: 150) listed six [syn]types from Timor collected by Müller & Macklot, so further syntypes are in the RMNH . One syntype is in the SMF (12438).
