Psidium misionum D. Legrand (1950: 284) .

Previously known from Argentina and Paraguay (Govaerts et al. 2008), and Brazil (http://splink.cria.org.br/). It was collected in the zone of Santiago de Chiquitos (Serranía Chiquitana), growing in campo sujo seco and cerrado sensu stricto between 600–900 m alt. The nearest record of this species from outside Bolivia is L.M. Zardini 38657 ( AS, MO), from Between Caapucú and Villa Florida ( Paraguay). In the list of species of the Flora of Brazil, this species is not cited (Sobral et al. 2013), but in the database of the Species Link there are two records, one from the Parque Nacional de Sete Quedas (Paraná) collected by J. Fontella 1177 (RB) and determined by M. Sobral, and other records from the Rio Verde in Itaberaba (São Paulo) collected by R. Kummrow 1787 (MBM) and determined by L.D. Landrum.
