Body Size: Large. 57–58 mm (male), 55–58 mm (female) Head: in dorsal view, almost triangular, slightly longer in midline than wide about 1:0.9, shorter than prono- tum in length about 1:1.4, head narrower than pronotum in male, variable in female, median length of fastigium longer than width about 1:0.6, vertex longer than fastigium about 1:0.6; compound eyes spherical, prominent; in lateral view, fastigium with ventral carina, strongly elongate, usually pointed at the tip; notch between fastigium and frons rather deep, length of opening equal to depth, basal process strongly produced, apical process distinct; in anterior view, lateral margins of frons parallel, slightly divergent apically; face wider than width at level of eye about 1:0.7.
Thorax: Pronotum without lateral carinae; in lateral view, dorsal margin straight, ventral margin slightly curved upward in the middle, height at the level of curved part shorter than median length about 1:1.6, with a marked invagination at the posterior margin; in dorsal view, narrower anteriorly, slightly convergent towards head. Prosternum with a pair of spines; hind femora with spines, hind femur more than two times longer than mid femur. Tegmina cover abdomen, but not ovipositor in female, rounded at the tip; male stridulatory file of the left tegmen rib characteristic with thick teeth present; male mirror of the right tegmen oval with a stridulatory file.
Genitalia: Ovipositor straight and thick, broadening apically, rather longer than hind femur about 1:0.7. Cerci broadened and flattened with apex inwardly curved, basal process well developed. Anal tergite rather concave with styli not projecting beyond cerci.
Coloration: Body in dorsal view, green or dark brown. Head in dorsal view, green or dark brown, with a dark line in place of carina continuous to the dorsolateral margins of the pronotum; in lateral view, yellowish green or brown; in dorsal view, postocular stripe yellow, extending to lateral margin of pronotum; in anterior view, face yellow; mandible reddish orange; clypeus and labrum concolorous, yellow. Antenna black in color. Pronotum in dorsal view, prozona and metazona concolorous, green or dark brown; in lateral view, green or brown. Fore and middle legs concolorous, green or brown. Hind leg with femora green or yellowish brown, femoral flange green or brown. Hind tibiae green or brown; spines green or brown. Tegmina transparent with greenish or brownish areas. Abdomen in dorsal view, green or brown.
