Type material. CHINA, Yunnan Province: Holotype GoogleMaps female from Zhaotong City, Daguan County, Huanglian River Scenic Spot GoogleMaps , 27.73°N, 103.92°E, 1558 m, 29 April 2016, H. Zhang, Y. Zhong & Y. Zhu leg. ( CBEE, LJ2138 ).
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Daguan County; adjective.
Diagnosis. The female of P.daguanensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu , spec. nov. is similar to that of P. emei in having the anterior margins of LL distinctly V-shaped, the sclerotised parts of IDS antero-laterad and situated completely in the frame of the FW, but can be distinguished by: 1) Anterior margins with “V” enclosing an acute angle; 2) IDS turning wider at its tips (Anterior margins almost U-shaped, IDS with same width or even smaller apically in P. emei ).
FEMALE ( LJ 2138): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 15.4, DS length 7.4, width 6.5, OS length 8.0, width 4.8. Eyes: AME 0.28, ALE 0.43, PME 0.31, PLE 0.38, AME–AME 0.22, AME–ALE 0.10, PME– PME 0.25, PME–PLE 0.36, AME–PME 0.31, ALE–PLE 0.27, CH AME 0.39, CH ALE 0.32. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 2026, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 8.7 (2.6, 1.2, 1.8, –, 3.1); I 23.2 (6.8, 2.4, 6.6, 6.1, 1.3); II 26.1 (7.2, 2.6, 7.4, 7.0, 1.9); III 19.3 (6.3, 2.0, 5.3, 5.0, 0.7); IV 22.1 (7.0, 1.3, 5.8, 6.5, 1.5). Leg formula: II-I-IV-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 27 denticles.
Epigyne ( Figs 78A–C View FIGURE 78 ): As in diagnosis. EF roughly as wide as long, oval shaped. AB indistinct. LL touching each other along the middle lines, their posterior part with wrinkles. FW well developed, covering the entire IDS, and its posterior part covered by LL.
Colouration ( Figs 79A–B View FIGURE 79 ): DS dark yellowishbrown with dark pattern consisting of setae and dots. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally brown with pairs of dark spots, ventrally with lots of yellow marks, regularly arranged.
MALE: Unknown.
Distribution. China (Yunnan Province).
