It is positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase (weak), utilization of glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, potassium gluconate, capric acid (weak), malic acid (weak), and trisodium citrate (weak), and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, β-galactosidase, and utilization of N -acetyl-glucosamine, maltose, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid, per the analysis using the API 20NE kit. Strain BT 345 (= NIBRBAC000503000) was isolated from soil in Jeju-do, Republic of Korea .
