Pseudolathra catenulata (Fauvel, 1905) comb. nov.
Type material of Lathrobium catenulatum Fauvel, 1905 . Syntypes (3), labelled: Suberbieville / subseriatum, Fvl. d(?)im / catenulatum Fvl. / Ex-Typis [printed, letters red]; Ex-Typis [printed, letters red]; Ambovombé, Madag. / Ex-Typis [printed, letters red] (all RBINS)
There is only one species of the subtribe Lathrobiina described from Madagascar — Lathrobium catenulatum Fauvel, 1905 . After examining the type specimens and concluding the lack of Lathrobiina characteristics, like widened area on the protibia, it is transferred here to Pseudolathra as P. catenulata (Fauvel 1905) , comb. nov. Its assignment to genus Pseudolathra is supported by the following characters: body glossy, maxillary palpomere 4 small and conical, and punctures on elytra in distinctive rows.
