Arkaim 14–19.VI.1996 (5♂♂); Chalk Hills 03–07.VI.1998 (3♂♂, 1♀), 28.V.2004 (5♂♂); Novoiletzk 09.VI.1998 (2♂♂); Verbljushka 30.V.2004 (1♂).

Distribution. Russia (S Ural). Recently recorded also from Bulgaria (Junnilainen & Kaitila, unpublished).

Remarks. There are small differences in the genitalia between specimens in our material and what was stated by Huemer & Tokar (2000) concerning P. argentella Pierce & Metcalfe, 1942 , known only from southern England. In male specimens from Ural there is a rather strong subapical dent at the dorsal margin of the valva. The dent seems weaker in the images presented by Huemer & Tokar (2000), which might be due to the position of the genitalia in the slide. A crescent-shaped signum in the female genitalia is thinner than usual, being closer to that of P. argentella than to that of P. dalmatinella Huemer & Tokar, 2000 . The shape of papillae anales plate also fits in better with that of P. argentella illustrated by Elsner et al. (1999) and Huemer & Tokar (2000). Specimens from Bulgaria are identical to those from Ural. Therefore the present material is considered as Psamathocrita sp. This species is new to Russia.
