Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Galigong Mountain , 30 July 1981.
Etymology. This epithet derives from the type locality.
Diagnosis. The new species resembles Prosoponoides guanduensis sp. nov. in having the similar parmula and the entrance groove with about half of a coil ( Fig. 285B, C View FIGURE 285 ; Fig. 263A–C View FIGURE 263 ), but can be distinguished by the spermathecae pointing away from each others in P. yunnanensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 285C View FIGURE 285 ), whereas pointing towards each other in P. guanduensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 263C View FIGURE 263 ). Turning points and spermathecae present dorso-mesally in P. yunnanensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 285C View FIGURE 285 ), whereas present dorso-laterally in P. guanduensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 263C View FIGURE 263 ).
Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 285A View FIGURE 285 ): Total length: 3.25. Carapace 1.16 long, 0.88 wide; cephalic region slightly elevated, light brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.18 high. Sternum longer than wide, brown,, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with two promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.07, ALE 0.09, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.04, PME–PME 0.07, AME–ALE, 0.06, PME–PLE 0.09, AME–PME 0.09, ALE–ALE 0.42, PLE–PLE 0.44, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 4.72 (1.34, 1.42, 1.22, 0.74), II 4.32 (1.31, 1.21, 1.15, 0.65), III 2.73 (0.83, 0.82, 0.66, 0.42), IV 4.01 (1.12, 1.19, 1.11, 0.59). Leg formula I-II-IV-III. Tm I 0.46 and Tm IV 0.34. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-2-2. Abdomen 2.09 long, 1.52 wide, oval, gray, with a longitudinal gray band followed by oblique bands extending posteriorly; ventral side gray.
Epigyne ( Fig. 285B, C View FIGURE 285 ): Posteriorly with two openings of entrance grooves separated by median septum, margins curved and sclerotized. Parmula shovel-shaped, projecting posteriorly from the dorsal plate, with a large pit ventrally. The entrance groove opening blocked with copulatory plug (seems distal suprategular apophysis of male palp broken into both openings in this female). Vulva: wider than long, entrance grooves started from ventral wall, with about half coil, turning points and spermathecae present dorso-mesally on apices; spermathecae short, slightly curved, pointing away from each others; fertilization ducts long, present dorso-laterally, extending mesally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 286 View FIGURE 286 ).
