Distribution:— Southeast Asia ( Hattori 1978).

Taxonomic note:— Porella acutifolia var. hattoriana was reported in Thailand as P. acutifolia var. birmanica ( Lai et al. 2008, and references therein).

Lai et al. (2008) reported that Hattori and Mizutani (1969) treated the specimen collected from Khao Yai National Park as P. gollanii , which is now treated as a synonym of P. campylophylla var. campylophylla . The specimen, therefore, is needed to be verified.
