Distribution in Iran. Hormozgan ( Wagner 1968 (sub P. consutus ), Linnavuori 2004), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema & Rieger 2001).

General distribution. Tropical Africa, Near East, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Afghanistan.

Comments. Polycrates consutus (Germar 1837) was reported from Iran by Wagner (1968), and is restricted to Madeira and Tropical Africa, unkown in Asia.
