Diagnosis. FEMALE. Fore wing ca. 6.5–7.0 mm; occipital-genal margin weak and obliterated behind ocelli, but distinct laterally; pronotal carina absent; pronotal prominence in front of the fovea moderately elevated; first metasomal segment rather short and wide at apex, with the sides distally rather rounded as seen from above, convex side view, typically with a wide distal yellow band. Proportional ratios: LSI / HMP—0.85; LSI / WT1_AP—1.94; WT1_AP / WT1_BA—2.83 ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 17–24 ). MALE ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37–42 ). fore wing with ca. 7.0 mm; occipital-genal margin obliterate and very weak laterally; FHH/INTOW—0.96; malar space very short; eyes practically bare; clypeus slightly wider than high (HCLP/WCLP—1.06) and with apex broadly rounded; clypeus with very short, erect, pale, closely spaced and numerous bristles at apex; pronotal carina absent; prominence in front of fovea moderately elevated; body without bristles; LMS/WMS—0.92; scrobal furrow distinct for almost its entire length above and obliterated below almost at the end; first metasomal segment moderately elongated, with widened apex, and with rounded sides at the apex, in lateral view with a distinctly convex dorsal profile; yellow band not as wide as in females. Proportional ratios: LSI / HMP—1.0; LSI/WT1_AP—1.76; WT1_AP / WT1_BA—3.45. MALE. Unknown.

Remarks. Richards (1978: 87) mentioned the presence of projections or ‘ flanges ’ on the nest envelope as a specific character. Eight nests were analyzed at MPEG, two of them have an envelope with small projections, as well as other characteristics of the nest following the pattern of other specimens: uniform light brown color, or mixed in dark and light brown; two or three combs; brood cell diameter ca. 4mm; total size 2.0 to 4.5 cm.
