Plectanocnema nudipes (Becker) View in CoL
( Figs 21–23 View FIGURES 21–23 )
Phora nudipes Becker, 1901: 66 View in CoL .
Aphiochaeta nudipes (Becker) . Strobl, 1910: 123.
Plectanocnema nudipes ( Becker, 1901) View in CoL . Schmitz, 1926: 75.
In his Fig. 215, Schmitz (1956) illustrated an extra pair of dorsolateral glands behind abdominal tergite 5 of the female. These are associated with the modified T6, which is greatly shortened but expanded laterally and disrupted in the middle ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21–23 ). These glands are not the laterally displaced dorsal abdominal glands but a novel development peculiar to this genus. The normal, but unusually large, DAGs are shown in Fig. 22 View FIGURES 21–23 . They are restricted to the female. Male hypopygium as Fig. 21 View FIGURES 21–23 and hind tibia as Fig. 23 View FIGURES 21–23 . The species is Holarctic in distribution.
