Plator solanensis Tikader & Gajbe, 1976a: 797 View in CoL , figs 1–4 (Description and illustration of female).
Type material. Holotype female from INDIA: Himachal Pradesh: Solan: Kasauli (30°54’04.64’’N, 76°57’53.55’’E), 1817 m alt.; H.P. Agrawal leg.; 22 December 1972; repository NZC-ZSI, Kolkata (no register number specified), examined GoogleMaps . Type material status. The ZSI collection has two glass tubes for this species. First tube labeled as ‘holotype’ (5350/18) contains one female specimen in fairly good condition, with broken legs and intact genitalia. The second tube labeled as ‘paratype’ (5352/18) contains one female and three immature specimens in fairly good condition, with broken legs.
Diagnosis. Females of P. solanensis closely resemble the females of Plator yunlong Zhu, Tang, Zhang & Song, 2006 in the shape and orientation of spermathecae and fertilization ducts, but can be easily separated from the latter by a large, M-shaped, sclerotised anterior margin (epigynum of P. yunlong lacks such anterior margin) (compare Figs 28–30 View FIGURES 25–32 with Zhu et al. 2006: figs 32–33).
