Additional references: Shimabukuro et al. (2017, listed as Pintomyia View in CoL incertae sedis and as described in 2013, but this date refers to the online prepublication; formal publication corresponds to 2014).
General distribution. Mexico (Mexican amber) ( Shimabukuro et al., 2017; Galati 2018).
Distribution in Mexico. Chiapas, only the type locality ( Ibáñez-Bernal et al. 2014).
