Physarum ovisporum G. Lister, J. Bot. View in CoL 59: 90. 1921
TYPUS: Not found .
NOTES: G. Lister (1921a: 90) wrote “ Habitat on dead leaves. This rather puzzling form has been met with in late autumn and winter in the neighbourhood of Lyme Regis, Dorset, for the last thirty years; it has been found also in East Dorset, near Porlock, Sommerset and at Chingford, Essex ”. In BM no collections or slides with these data were located, only notes and drawings in notebook V: 15 of material from Lyme Regis, Oct. 31, 1891, that coincides with the illustrations in the original publication (Plate 558, fig. 1).
In K (http://apps.kew.org/herbtrack/results) there are three specimens, K171146 [ England, 1899, on leaves & twigs, anon. (ex herb. G. Lister)], K 171147 [ England, 1907, anon.] and K 171148 [ England, 1916, anon. (comm. H.J. Howard)], that could be type material by the dates, but no data of the locality is provided.
