10. Phlugiolopsis adentis View in CoL sp. nov.
(Map. 1, Figs. 11 View FIGURES 11 , 13 View FIGURE 13 : A–B)
Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtuse, furrowed in midline. Eyes subglobular, slightly protruding outwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi as long as subapical one, apex slightly widened.
Pronotum short, metazona slightly raised; lateral lobe longer than high, without humeral sinus.
Ventral margin of all femora without spines. Procoxa with 1 small spine; protibia with 4 internal and 5 external spines on ventral margin, and a pair of ventral apical spurs; tibial tympana opened on both sides, oval. Mesotibia with 4 internal spines and 5 external spines ventrally, and a pair of ventral apical spurs. Genicular lobes of postfemur with apices obtuse; posttibia with 24–25 dorsal spines on each side, 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.
Tegmina short, surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the apical area of second abdominal tergite, sometimes extending the middle area of third abdominal tergite. Hind wings absent.
Apical area of tenth abdominal tergite projecting, posterior margin slightly concave in middle. Basal half of cerci with semicircular dorsal lobe, ventral margin with 1 slightly depressed process, which basal area slightly broad, gradually narrowing, the apical half squarely curved dorsad, apex obtuse; apical half of cerci hook-shaped, squarely incurved, apex subacute. Subgenital plate slightly broad at base, basal margin arched excavate, lateral margin bent dorsad, apical margin narrowly rounded, sometimes obtusely rounded.
Female. Similar to male appearance. Posterior margin of eighth abdominal tergite faintly concave; lateral magin of ninth abdominal tergite protruding backwards; posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with small notch in middle. Epiproct triangular, apex obtuse. Cerci conical, apices acute. Ovipositor gently curved upwards, base stout, narrowing, dorsal valvulae slightly longer than ventral ones; dorsal valvulae sharply pointed and ventral ones with a small terminal hook. Subgenital plate subtrapezoid, basal area slightly broad, basal margin excavate, baso-lateral areas expanded, which curved dorsad; furrowed in midline; centre of posterior margin slightly concave, faintly arched rounded on both sides of the concave.
Coloration. Body yellowish brown (discoloured as originally conserved in alcohol). Internal margin of antennal socket, scape and pedicel light brown. Eyes brown. Dorsum of head with 4 black brown stripes, outer stripes narrow, apices reaching antennal socket; medial 2 stripes broad. Lateral margin of pronotum black brown, between area brown. Apical area of genicular lobes and tibiae, and all tarsi black brown; postfemora with outer pinniform stripes, dorsal spine of posttibiae black brown. Dorsum of abdominal tergites brown, lateral margin black brown, sternites light brown. Male subgenital plate brown, lateral part of female light brown.
Type material. Holotype: male, Caiyanghe, Puʹer, Yunnan, 26 August 2009, collected by Ming Qiu. Paratypes: 1 male and 2 females, Caiyanghe, Puʹer; Yunnan, 26 August 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li. Other specimens (conserved in alcohol): 1 male, Puʹer, Yunnan, 28 July 2007, collected by Fu-Ming Shi; 1 female, Caiyanghe, Puʹer, Yunnan, 26 August 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li; 2 females, Meizihu, Puʹer, Yunnan, 27 August 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li.
Measurements (mm). Body: 37.4–7.6, Ƥ8.1–8.5; pronotum: 33.4–3.5, Ƥ3.1–3.2; tegmen: 31.3–1.5, Ƥ1.5–1.7; postfemur: 37.1–7.7, Ƥ8.6–8.7; ovipositor: 5.3–5.5.
Remarks. The new species resembles Acyrtaspis mistshenkoi Gorochov, 1993 and Phlugiolopsis yunnanensis Shi & Ou, 2005 , but differs from them in: basal half of male cerci with semicircular dorsal lobe, base with 1 ventral process, the apical half curved dorsad, apex obtuse; baso-lateral margin of female subgenital plate expanded, which curved dorsad.
Etymology. The new species name refers to the morphology of the male’s cercus, which not bears internal tooth in middle area, comparing with Phlugiolopsis yunnanensis Shi & Ou. Distribution. China (Yunnan).
