This rarely collected Peromyia is shown here for the first time to occur in northern Europe. It can be identified using the descriptions by Jaschhof (1995, 1998).

Previous distribution. France, Germany. Occurrence in Sweden: Öland, Småland.

Specimens studied. SWEDEN: male (CEC235), Öland , Mörbylånga, Gamla Skogsby, scrubby meadow (“diversity meadow”), 25 April–20 May 2005, Malaise trap, SMTP (trap 22, collecting event 840) ; 2 males, 1 female (CEC236–237), Mörbylånga, Kalkstad NR, mixed deciduous forest, 1–30 April 2014, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof; male (CEC238), Mörbylånga, Skogsby forest NR, 10 April–12 May 2015, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof ; 2 males (CEC239–240), Småland, Nybro, Bäckebo, Grytsjön NR, tall forest of aspen and conifers, 9 April–14 May 2015, Malaise trap, M. & C. Jaschhof.
