Type :— INDIA. Yurpo river area in upper Bashahr Himalaya , s.d., Jacquemont 1761 (lectotype P02977930!, designated here) ; isolectotypes K000739101!, P02977932!
Notes:— Pedicularis labellata was described by Decaisne (1844) based on the specimens collected by Jacquemont from Yurpo river area in upper Bashahr Himalaya during his travel to India between the years 1828 to 1832. Three specimens collected by Jacquemont from this area were traced, two at P (P02977930 and P02977932) and one at K (K000739101!). Of these, the best one P02977930, is designated here as the lectotype.
