Diagnosis P. howdeni is virtually identical to P. amazonica but differs in the following features: eyes larger (in P. amazonica smaller); protibial claws smaller, being half as long as 5th protarsomere (in P. amazonica more or less subequal to 5th protarsomere) ( Fig. 4L View Fig ); and shape of aedeagus; parameres shorter compared to the phallobase ( Fig. 4M, N View Fig ), in lateral view more strongly curved than in P. amazonica , their lateral margin more strongly emarginate (dorsal and apical view); the medially fused ventral plate of phallobase is
