Pamphalea cardaminifolia Lessing (1830: 9) View in CoL
Type :— URUGUAY [“Brasilia meridional”], Sellow s.n. ( HAL113164 About HAL !, lectotype, designated here; isolectotype: K000500424 !) .
The species was described based on specimens of Sellow from Uruguay [‘Sellow in Brasilia meridionali. (v. sp. ∞.).’]. The material deposited at B [photo F 16095!] was destroyed during the World War II, but further original material was found at K and HAL. The lectotype designated above corresponds more closely to the original description, its plant has a greater number of basal leaves as well as the base of the plant is present. Trujillo et al. (2014) mistakenly indicated K 000500424 as the isotype.
