Distribution
Recorded from Hawaii and Tahiti.
Remarks
The Palisada crustiformans ( Fig. 4 View Fig. 4 ) specimen included in this study was sterile and matched previous descriptions by McDermid (1989) concerning vegetative characters. In particular, secondary pit connections between cortical cells were observed ( Fig. 4C View Fig. 4 ). Small structures that may or may not be ‘corps en cerise’, were also observed in cortical cells ( Fig. 4B–C View Fig. 4 ).
