COMMENTS.— This specimen is the first published record of Pachydactylus scutatus for Angola. Pachydatylus scutatus angolensis is now recognized as a distinct species (see below; Bauer et al. 2002). Five additional specimens, all from Iona, are present in the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History (TM 40615–18 from Espinheira, TM 40751 from 16°54ʹS, 12°35ʹE).
