Upper body of neonates/juveniles with prominent brown bands and occasionally longitudinal lines ( Fig. 5H View Fig ; type I), while upper body of adults with a pair of brown longitudinal lines and occasionally faint transverse bands or lines ( Fig. 5I View Fig ; type II); dorsal head with three distinct dark longitudinal stripes, including one middle stripe and two lateral stripes extending posteriorly from the eyes ( Figs. 5H, I View Fig ); body scales smooth; anal scale divided.
