Octonoba bicornuta n. sp.

Material examined. Holotype: $, grassland (36°49 ʹ 38 ʺ N, 128°58 ʹ 09 ʺ E, alt. 321 m), Jaesan-myeon, Bonghwa-gun , Gyeongsangbuk-do, 22 June 2010, J. C. Lim . Paratype: 1$, same data as holotype.

Etymology. The specific name is a Latin adjective “ bicornutus ” (two-horned), referring to a pair of anterior projections of epigynum.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to O. kentingensis Yoshida, 2012 and O. lanyuensis Yoshida, 2012 in the anterior projection of epigynum, but different from the latter two species by the size of epigynal projection, the shapes of copulatory ducts and spermatheca ( Fig. 4 I-K).

Description. Female (holotype). Total length 6.10. Habitus as in Figure 4 G-H. Carapace reddish brown except brownish medial posterior, 1.80 long, 1.55 wide. Clypeus height 1.6 times of diameter of AME. AER 0.85, PER 0.87. AME 0.14, ALE 0.09, PME 0.12, PLE 0.13, AME-AME 0.07, AME-ALE 0.22, PME-PME 0.22, PME-PLE 0.16, AME-PME 0.20, and ALE-PLE 0.21. Median ocular quadrangle, posterior side>height>anterior side (35:33:25). Chelicera with four promarginal teeth and 40 microscopic teeth at distal part of fang furrow. Sternum 1.24 long, 0.85 wide. Labium 0.26 long, 0.33 wide. Leg measurements: I 10.00 (3.00, 0.90, 2.50, 2.55, 1.05), II 6.05 (1.90, 0.65, 1.20, 1.55, 0.75), III 4.50 (1.45, 0.55, 0.75, 1.10, 0.65), IV 6.95 (2.15, 0.75, 1.55, 1.50, 1.00). Leg I/c 5.56. Fem. I/c 1.67. Tib. I/c 1.39. Met. I/c 1.42. Pat. I + tib. I/c 1.89. Met. I/tar. I 2.43. Met. IV/tar. IV 1.50. Calamistrum on two-thirds of Metatarsus IV. Abdomen oval and distended anteriorly, and 4.25 long, 2.95 wide. Epigynum: atrium wide with a pair of anterior projections around copulatory openings; internal genitalia with a pair of spermathecae and short copulatory ducts. ( Fig. 4 I-K).

Habitat. Grassland.

World Distribution. Korea (Gyeongsangbuk-do).
