Type:— COSTA RICA. Limón: Estella River, s.d., C. H. Lankester & A. Sancho 376 (holotype: AMES 24909, AMES 83031 microscope slide).
Notes: —Ames (1923) described N. lankesteri based on the sample Lankester & Sancho 376, informing his own herbarium as the place where the deposit was made and at which the specimen is still preserved, along with a dissected flower mounted on a slide.
