Description of Niallia taxi 19_H7_F5
Cells are Gram-staining-positive short rods without a flagellum. Colonies are irregular, flat, undulate, and white-colored after 2-3 days of incubation at 30℃ on R2 A agar. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and β-galactosidase activity. Utilizes D- glucose, D- mannose, D- mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, D- maltose, and potassium gluconate. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase and urease activities. Does not utilize L- arabinose, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain 19_H7_F5 (= NIBRBAC000508792) was isolated from brackish water from Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do, Korea (37°39′08.5″N 126°42′46.5″E) GoogleMaps .
